I am a fully qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, offering face to face and online therapy.
Taking the first step to find a therapist can be daunting, especially when life is particularly hard.
I feel passionately about creating a counselling space which is confidential, supportive and incredibly personal. A space for you to explore your issues and emotions and to make the positive changes you're striving for.
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." Carl Rogers

About
Emma Hare, MBACP
I'm a fully qualified counsellor working with adult clients in a Person Centred way, which means I create an empathic, none-judgemental space for you to explore whatever issues you want to focus on.
I work with clients face-face out of a private room on the outskirts of Sevenoaks (Kent) in a beautiful rural setting with lots of on-site free parking. If you would rather work online or over the telephone, I offer both of those options to clients across the UK.
I have experience of working with trauma, addiction, relationship issues, loneliness, grief, menopause anxiety, stress, financial worries and with those clients in need of support around self-esteem and workplace issues.
As a registered member of the BACP (www.bacp.co.uk) I'm committed to working with clients ethically and safely. I'm fully insured and hold a current DBS certificate.
I offer a free of charge 20 minute phone consultation to every new client. This is your chance to suss me out and to explore if the way in which I work, suits the way in which you want to approach your personal therapy sessions.
Each therapeutic session lasts for 50 minutes and costs £60. Each client is different, but often we agree to work together for six to eight sessions. Over those six-eight weeks we review and, if appropriate, consider the opportunity to move into open-ended therapeutic work.
Some clients want to move into open-ended therapeutic work. For others six-eight sessions feels enough for the moment. In some cases we agree a more specialist form of therapy would be useful and we work together to look at all the options. Everyone is unique and I'm there to support each client's individual needs.
